Turskie Lake is located in the military training ground in Wędrzyn, in the Municipality of Sulęcin, in a forest near Tursk. It has an oblong shape, with many indistinct bays and promontories. All of its shores are hard, dry and clearly ascending above the water surface. There are large and deep erosion valleys overgrown with junipers on the western shore of the lake. The shore becomes gentler in the north-eastern part, where a car park, a sandy beach and a bathing site with two single piers have been developed. The piers are also used by frogmen, in particular army frogmen, who frequently train in the clean waters of the lake.
The maximum depth of the lake is 10.7 m. The mostly sandy bottom is covered in places with some deposits. The clear and clean water is favourable for as many as seven chara species as well as vast underwater meadows overgrown mainly with Eurasian watermilfoil and Canadian waterweed. There is a rather narrow and discontinuous belt of common reed and reedmace. Small groups of white water lilies and floating pondweed can be seen in the southern part of the lake.
There is a sunken T-34 tank in Turskie Lake, left there by the Russians in the 1950s, when they controlled the military training ground in Wędrzyn. The following fish species can be found in the lake: the roach, bream, perch, pike, rudd and tench. The wels catfish and zander do not occur here.
